Adopting Existing Town Master Plan

A Local Law to adopt by Local Law the existing Master Plan as the Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Huron.

 

 

Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Huron as follows:

 

 

Body:

1.   Legislative Purpose.   The Town of Huron has previously adopted a Master Plan, and now readopts that plan by Local Law as a Comprehensive Plan, in order to comply with the requirements of Town Law Section 272-a, and to promote public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity and general welfare of the community by facilitating comprehensive planning and further development and amendment of the Zoning Law of the Town of Huron, Local Law No. 1 of 1973, as amended and reenacted by Local Law No. 1 of 1992, and as further amended.

 

2.    Adoption of Comprehensive Plan.    The Master Plan of the Town of Huron, as previously approved by the Planning Board on December 3, 1990 and the Town Board on May 19, 1992, and as contained in the Appendix to this law, is adopted as the Comprehensive Plan of the Town of Huron, pursuant to Town Law Section 272-a.

 

3.    Savings Clause.    If any part of this law and/or the Comprehensive Plan is held to be unconstitutional, invalid or ineffective, the remainder of this law and/or the Comprehensive Plan shall be valid.

 

4.    Effective Date.     This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
